The hotel had beautifully decorated and very spacious rooms, with clean surroundings and a very adequate continental breakfast area and offerings. The reception, however, insisted on giving us the worst room despite booking in advance. The service was always friendly and helpful throughout our trip. The location, while convenient to downtown Newport, was a bit awkward and required transportation to reach the bustling area. The dining experience, although the hotel offers homemade dishes, was a little disappointing given the overall nice amenities.
The hotel was in a convenient location for the local beach and northern Cliff Walk entrance. The rooms were big, clean, and super comfortable, despite being on the inferior floor allocated to us when we booked in advance. The service was friendly but lacked detailed local recommendations. The dining was adequate but could use some improvement in quality. The hotel offers modest facilities but serves its purpose well.
I had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the continental breakfast was very adequate. The friendly service made my visit even better, but the light in my room was a bit dangerous at night. All in all, a good choice for an affordable price.
